Every year, thousands of medical students (including Canadian's studying abroad #CSA), international medical graduates #IMG and internationally trained physicians #ITP and specialists seek to make Canada their home and continue their dreams of practicing medicine but every year, thousands are left with unanswered questions about the the overall process.
From the Canadian's who choose to study medicine in Europe (Ireland & the UK) to those who venture off down south to the Caribbean (over 30 private schools take in Canadian nationals) and the hundreds who go back to their parents' native lands, everyone leaves with the hopes of one day returning back to Canada and completing their training (e.g. residency) or setting up their own practice. But that's not all. High school & University students are also exploring other educational and career pathways within the world of healthcare and want to stay in Canada to study and train, whether that be in allopathic medicine, naturopathic medicine, hospital-focused training and much more.
That mission and mandate of The IMG Conference & Expo (#IMGCE) is to create a platform to help clarify the many questions that aspiring and current physicians and allied health workers have with regards to the various licensing examinations, residency and training options, licensing pathways, physician financial wellbeing, immigration and legal matters, current employment opportunities and many others.
To address these needs, we're bringing together industry leaders and national stakeholders, educational institutions, regulatory bodies, employers, financial experts, and many others to help set the stage for two days you won't want to miss out on!
Plus, the IMG Conference & Expo will also have numerous speaking engagements, moderated panel discussions and conversations on the main stage, an Educational Corridor highlighting International Medical Schools, alternative career training options and complementary services to ensure all your questions, doubts, and concerns are all addressed.
